Yên Bái, once known for its majestic natural beauty, was left submerged in water and mud after Typhoon No. 3. The torrential rains and violent floods swept away countless hopes and left many schools severely damaged. Recognizing the urgent need to recover and ensure continued education for students, KLC Group donated 200 million VND to help schools in Yên Bái province quickly recover from the disaster, providing motivation for teachers and students alike.

Severe Damage Caused by Floods
Typhoon No. 3 had a devastating impact on many northern provinces, with Yên Bái being one of the hardest-hit areas. The continuous heavy rains triggered historic floods, submerging villages, houses, and educational institutions. In particular, Hong Thai Primary School and Hoa Ban Kindergarten suffered significant damage to their facilities.

Hong Thai Primary School lost almost all of its teaching equipment With 118 desks and chairs, 5,000 textbooks, 3 laptops, 3 projectors, and a 700-portion rice cooker damaged, the school faced difficulties, disrupting teaching and learning activities. Vu Van Tan, the school’s principal, shared, “These losses have significantly impacted teaching and learning. We urgently need support to recover and stabilize our teaching activities.”

Meanwhile Hoa Ban Kindergarten also suffered significant losses as many children’s items were swept away and severely damaged by the flood. Nguyen Thi Thang, the school’s principal, shared, “The floodwaters submerged the school, causing severe damage to the facilities. The school lost 4 computers, 200 blankets, towels, and hundreds of other learning and living tools. Currently, the school is facing difficulties in recovering to welcome students back.” These losses not only interrupted the children’s studies but also had a significant impact on the morale of both students and teachers.
